The following was excerpted from this FOX News article.

“Speaker John Boehner may have gotten a round of golf in with President Obama but he doesn’t seem to have had any success in convincing the president to help him tame a revolt in Congress over the conflict.

Republican leaders, looking to avoid a constitutional crisis, have been asking the White House for at least an acknowledgment of congressional authority over American involvement in the five-month-old stalemated civil war. The U.S. has been involved in the [Libyan] war since March 20 and now even the most ardent interventionists in Congress want the administration to make some nod to congressional authority.”

Avoid a constitutional crisis? What could be more of a constitutional crisis than having the constitution ignored, violated and trampled upon by this administration? Presidential violation of the U.S. Constitution has always been a minor factor in American governance. But, starting with the Clinton administration, it has become epidemic to the point where the Obama administration publicly considers the Constitution to be little more than a minor annoyance in its march toward total dictatorship.

The present so called “crisis” may well be a last opportunity for Congress to re-assert its constitutional authority.

Instead of AVOIDING such a “crisis”, Congress should welcome this opportunity and act to tame Obama’s usurpation of authority while there is still time.

But, I suspect that this opportunity, like others in the recent past, will be met with congressional tails tucked firmly between hind legs, accompanied by a few pathetic whimpers while our pseudo-dictator has his way.

How and when did the nation that won WWII with such valor revert to such coward-ism?

Think about it. You might even contact your members of Congress unless, like me, you find it a waste of your time.

Sounds like the POTUS may have commited an impeachable offense.

    • He has committed many; but he would need to be legitimate to be impeached. An usurper need not and could not be impeached. We just need to arrest the bastard for treason, perp walk him to jail, and let Biden take over. â—„Daveâ–º

I don’t think a bit over a year of Biden would be that bad — most of it would actually be comical.

On a more serious note, Obama is not likely to be impeached, arrested or seriously challenged. Clearly, the other branches of government are afraid of him (or of who/what he represents).

Even if they are not afraid of the administration, Congress has another problem. If they try to act on any Obama abuses this late in the game, immediately it raises a serious problem: since this stuff has been openly going on since the Clinton administration, Congress would be effectively confessing to 19 years of their own malfeasance if they do something now. That would be like the pope admitting to fallibility.
