Insurance is entirely the number one issue that knowbody watches close enough. The insurance giant AIG is not the example of greed with the employees that worked for one year for a dollar. The fraud the government created when bailed out AIG with the nearly a trillion dollars was to cover the LEGACY costs of the Unions. If the government can't INSURE it can pay the costs. The fact is the government can not afford to make the ASSURANCE to those already retired they will be paid for the rest of their lives.
AIG could not afford to pay the costs, so it looks to the American Taxpayer the bill every time,
So just how does that effect the financial community? It continues the banks forward notion that they can give consumer "credit". ANYONE who cannot qualify for the credit to borrow the loan, will not get the credit, unless your a government worker, or organization that is linked with the current government. Today, those people are looking to China, or Egypt, or perhaps countries which we export most of work, like India. Pick up the phone and ask for ALL or your computer problems and you are not talking to an American, it is "IF ou cannot pronounce my name, you can call me JOE!" So India might give the American Government some money next, who know, who cares. Insurance that the government will pay is GONE south with the Obama presidency and nobody will give a Black American President a dime, but hold on "you FOLKS", Obama has a plan to give Europe a trillion dollars too, so his administrations answer to the government prayer for China to give us money, which they said NO, is to Print his own money, with the american tax payer footing the decision. Eventually with more taxes, taxes, and where is the American. Locked down in new Czars, laws, and more illegal citizens to work for below wages and making sure that the worker gets a huge raise to slightly above minimm wage. No enforcement called to defend the Poor, no enforcement to stop the illegal, only enforcement on the American.
Insurance is the monster, financial community, second, the American current socialist law abiding citizen will be the >sucker<. Suck on that honesty.

You know, after these outrageous giveaways to the big financial institutions, I am beginning to wonder if Alex Jones knows what he is talking about!!

In all seriousness, many years ago, this fellow I worked with loaned me a book that explained, in great detail, how the international financial cabal effectively rules the world - and how their grip grows greater with each passing year. I forget the name of the book. At the time, I tried to obtain my own copy but Icould never find out where it came from. Since then, age has taken its toll and I can't even remember the title. But I do remember the overall point and it has proven more true with each passing year. I wish now that I had listened closer to other things this fellow had to say, things that seemed most unlikely at the time.

BTW, this fellow was no conspiracy nut. He was simply a thinker and an information sponge, as attested by the fact that he already had 2 Phd's at that time.

Agreed, Troy. The Progressives will never allow the FairTax to be enacted, because it would end their ability to keep the poor beholden to them for their redistribution largess. I still think that when it comes to educating the sheeple, getting them to understand the real source of taxes would do more than anything else to wake them up. Then, they might be receptive to learning the truth about money and credit, which might just take down the banking oligarchy for whom all politicians are just puppets on their stage. Consumer credit is the modern form of slavery. ◄Dave►

I agree to the notion that the producers ultimately pay ALL of the taxes. How could it possibly be any other way. I also agree that the average know-nothing would have a far different attitude toward taxation if they collected every dime they earned then had to write a check to the treasury to pay their actual taxes.

That said, under the current system, who gets hurt the very worst? I maintain it is the working poor. This is because FICA and Medicare taxes - the so-called payroll taxes, have no exemptions.

I just wonder why Barack, Teddy, and all those other liberals have failed to explain this to their downtrodden constituents? IMHO, these bastards are just as bad as the antebellum slave owners.

The FairTax would end this nonsense. In its own way, it is more (effectively) progressive than the current system that enslaves the poor while selling indulgences to the rich, all in order to keep lying cheats in power.
