Dave, I think you might like to know that Bill is my father. I thought this was an interesting coincidence since you said it is up to our parents to educate us. I think my dad has instilled in me (both by DNA and being raised by him) to be a critical thinker, to cherish education, to educate others, and too many more things to list here. I have been very inspired by my dad as of late, since we are both becoming more concerned about where our country is going. His passion is a constant encouragement for me to continue in this fight.

Thanks for the kind words, Bill. Amanda, your link is a fascinating place. I just spent an hour perusing it, and will definitely use it as a resource in future religious discussions. It would have been quite useful during the interlude I spent debating on freethinking websites. Thanks for sharing it.

Both of you have cited education as the key to our salvation (pun intended). I couldn’t agree more, and I liked the line, Amanda. Unfortunately, the last thing the oligarchy wishes is an educated populace. The Progressives have been diligently dumbing us down for over a hundred years. The Utopian dreamers and the Corporatists, whom I have come to regard as two sides of the same coin, want complaisant little workers and consumers, with just enough knowledge and mental agility to accomplish their assigned tasks, but not nearly enough to consider escaping their serfdom.

It befalls parents to educate their children if they wish them to develop critical thinking skills, and then they must be encouraged to be autodidacts. Sending a child to a public school borders on child abuse; and a young adult attending an American university is committing mental suicide. One cannot acquire an education in such propaganda factories. You might enjoy my rant at academia. ◄Dave►

I think this link goes along with “Dave’s Gospel”. It is about the Ethics of Reciprocity in 21 different religions.
I found your writing to be a great affirmation of some of the things I’ve been saying for over a decade and I’m only 27. People always thought I was too cruel or a crazy radical who didn’t care about anyone else. And would you like to know why? Because I told them I thought seatbelt laws were ridiculuous. I felt like if you were stupid enough to not wear a seatbelt then you deserve whatever consequences there might be if you get in a wreck. I told everyone that things may be really bad for a bit, but once people got used to having the natural consequences to their actions (which the government has worked so hard to protect us from), then we would all learn from our mistakes and CHOOSE to do things for our own well being, rather than being FORCED to make the “right” decisions for our lives. So with all that being said, here is a phrase I’ve been toying around with for over the past ten years…”EDUCATION NOT REGULATION”…enough said.

I am glad that I have found someone else who thinks this way. I also agree with JW that education of our children as well as our adults on this is paramount to regaining our freedoms and toppling the oppressive government that chokes us today.
I certainly agree with you on the disastrous results that would befall us in either case if the religious fanatics or the ungodly took absolute power. We are falling into the Green god’s power shift it appears presently, though I feel it is only a power play by the money men that want to keep us swinging at smoke and mirrors.
Keep up the fight to enlighten.

Thanks JW. Don’t get me started on public schools; but if all tenth graders understood this discussion, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are now, and the Marxists in academia wouldn’t find polluting their minds nearly as simple as it now is.

lol – It is hard for me to comprehend what could possibly motivate anyone to want the job of POTUS enough, to go through what one must to acquire it. A true mystery. ◄Dave►

I am in the same camp as JG. Other than that, I have none but praise for your understanding on the whole subject of what the Founding Fathers gave us. I had my say, it would be required reading in about the 10th grade level in all public schools. You’ll be running for president when? (just kidding) wouldn’t wish that on my enemy. Good work.

As a christian and patriot, I can appreciate your vast wealth of knowledge and frankness. I for one see men born free, and then made free withGod as their king. But , that’s me. However, I believe that I may have found a soul-mate ( sorry) in your wisdom as to the structure of the laws in this country. I hope to call you a friend.
P.S. We may have to find the Gulch together.
