I was state educated for 8 years and my parents pulled me out and home schooled me. Truth was, they left me to my own vices. I wanted to learn more. You're right about the monopoly government has on education, it is a one size fits all education. Your Montessorri pre-school sounds interesting. I like the concept. Not bad for a "godless heathen".
