Another great discussion:

…between two of my favorite contemporary thinkers. It is not all about the election. Enjoy their synergy… 😀 â—„Daveâ–º

  • This was a great conversation it was going to be my next activity when I saw you posted it.

    Thank You 🙂

    • Agreed. I get far more out of investing an hour in something like this, than just about anything one might find on TV. I would dearly love to add Bill Whittle to the mix, and then join the three of them over coffee occasionally. 😀 â—„Daveâ–º

      • I do not make a practice of visiting Scott’s website or blog however every time I see him he makes me smile.

He has one of the most interesting thought processes I have observed over the years.

I much of the time find myself thinking yes you could talk me into that. 🙂

        WRONG!
WRONG? how could that possibly be?
        NEVER!
That’s my position and I am sticking with it! 😉

        • Yes, he is a very persuasive guy. His success at predictions is rather compelling, and his continuing belief that Trump will win in a landslide is encouraging. 😀

I really enjoyed his book, and plan on reading some of his earlier ones. He even has a couple of fiction books that sound interesting. Tuning into his daily morning Periscope “Coffee” session, has become a habit. 🙂 â—„Daveâ–º

Good discussion. I have some disagreements but they are either insignificant or something only time will prove. Either way it doesn’t make a difference. I can be right all day long and it changes nothing. I do however hate to be wrong. 🙂

  • Good discussion.

One of the most notable things about this election has been just how effective Trump has been at ignoring all of the conventional wisdom of what you have to do and what you can’t do in order to be successful. The media has been constantly baffled and two steps behind.

Adams has been much better at seeing what is really going on, but I think there is still a big point they’re missing. Usually what they said is true: candidates have already convinced their base and alienated their opposition, and they’re just fighting over undecided voters. While this is still true, I think this cycle is going to be much more heavily decided on turnout than on undecideds, and Trump determines the turnout on both sides. Hillary couldn’t pack a book store on her own. Trump needs to fire up his base while defusing the fear that has been instilled in hers.

  • Chris says:

I’m going to go out on a limb here. Looking back at past debates the republicans nearly always did well in the first debate but got routed in subsequent debates. I can only think Romney v. Obama in 2012. Romney blew Obama away in the first. After that the media stepped in and made sure it didn’t happen again as well as Obama actually taking it seriously. Trump may actually be the media genius many say he is. I’ll be looking for him to take another lay down in the second debate. It will look like a cake walk to both Hillary and the media. Final debate he will come out and shred her after the opportunity to recover is gone. If he does that he’s got my vote on strategy points alone. If he doesn’t he’s the buffoon many say he is. Hillary is so easily dismantled anyone serious could do it.

That would be a blast to watch Chris.
That being said I am afraid there are too many dullards with the attention span of a gnat that would not bother with the last debate and simply stay home and not vote at all.

Keeping the polls (jacked or not) even or close … would allow the ballot boxes to be jammed with dead and illegal voters for Clinton.

Word I am picking up is supporters of Trump are so disappointed he did not shred her already they are ready to stay home because they are afraid he does not have the balls to go in for the kill now. As you say she is a “5th grade mark” fighting for her political survival.

On the other front she faces her actual health issues.

I will be interested to see if she is drugged to the 9’s again in order to survive another 90 grueling minutes. Druggies and Alcohol junkies always have an eye tell.

Yea, that’s probably the case. On to option two.

  • Chris says:

    Are Fridays great or what?!!

    • Woo…hoo! Boys will be boys, Democrats will be Democrats, and GOPe wusses will clutch their pearls. 😉 â—„Daveâ–º

    • Scott Adams tweet said it best:

Trump’s bid for Sainthood officially ended today. I think he is still available for Kennedy-type jobs. #Trump

      😀 â—„Daveâ–º

      • Chris says:

Sainthood? Who knew he was in the running?

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day for the spectator class. Early morning talking heads are gonna be at a fever pitch. Already this morning they are saying he can’t recover from what he said. The squealing will be legendary. Then he gets to walk out on the stage tomorrow night. Epic. It couldn’t be a better setup. For the right odds if I were a gambler I’d bet he doesn’t show. Long odds but anything is good for a price. Wait for them to introduce presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and (vice} presidential candidate Mike Pence. LOL

Usually to me Sundays are like any other day. Tomorrow will be special. I got some cheese flavor seasoning for my popcorn.

        • Sainthood? Who knew he was in the running?

He wasn’t, of course, which is why Scott’s quip was so funny. 😉

Yes, the debate may now draw even more viewers than the first one. Oh, he will be there alright, and I expect the gloves will be off now. It will be Hillary’s turn to be sputtering, and Bill will be squirming in the audience. Not only has Hillary opened the door wide to comparative sex scandals, Trump has little to lose, since the GOPe wussies have already thrown his sometimes crass ass under their pearl-clutching bus. If Trump actually loses the election over this, it will herald the well-deserved demise of the GOP. I almost look forward to the funeral. 😉 â—„Daveâ–º

        • Chris says:

Yea, but the problem there is the democrats are doing just fine. It can be said that there’s no difference between D and R all you want. Fact is there is a difference. Just not enough these days.

        • The biggest difference is that the Democrats stick together and support their candidate, however corrupt or crass. They wouldn’t even turn on Bill Clinton for diddling Lewinsky with a cigar in the Oval Office… 🙄 â—„Daveâ–º

        • Chris says:

Exactly! And those are the ones we are left with.

    • Chris says:

BTW It’s not just the Trump story going on. Hillary had another Friday Email dump. Some troubling stuff. That’s why Trump is the weekend story. Half the fun is following what isn’t the story.

  • Chris says:

Woah! Who knew? Here’s something no politician wants on the news. This is right up your alley Dave. http://countercurrentnews.com/2016/10/spain-no-federal-government-past-9-months-everything-just-fine/

    • Thanks Chris. I had read the original NYT article a few days ago. This is a good take on it, which I would love to get a serious discussion going on.

Also, I just installed a like button for you. 😉 â—„Daveâ–º

      • Chris says:

By all means put it out there. I’m all in for no central government with consideration for more local systems of social order and project commonality. Looks like Spain is trying to prove it. Sort of like the US is supposed to be.

      • Chris says:

RE you didn’t have to just because sometimes I’m too lazy to write. 🙂
