Is the GOPe listening? Do they care? Why should conservatives ever again pay them the slightest attention, if they don’t? â—„Daveâ–º

Whew! For a while there I thought she was gonna go in for Trump. That was a close one. I couldn’t bear losing another of my conservative sweethearts.

    • lol… no, I read her as a Cruz supporter. It really is too bad that he is a Canadian Born Citizen. 😀 â—„Daveâ–º

Hit that horse again Dave. It’s still got one leg twitching. 😉

        • 😀

I was somewhat serious. Constitutional conservatives are now down to only two choices, if they actually respect the Constitution as written. Kasich or Trump, and neither are really constitutionalists or conservatives. â—„Daveâ–º

          • Thanks for the link. Two down and four to go… from the Republicans that is… If he were to be nominated, hide and watch what the Dems would do. 😉

That said, I agree with the judge’s reasoning. 🙂 â—„Daveâ–º

Had to dig to find this thread again. Here’s another that seems to actually address the merit. http://www.redstate.com/diary/apkyletexas/2016/03/31/boom-pa-top-court-roasts-another-cruz-birther/

        • I am not surprised or even distressed, Chris. Judges are lawyers and Canadian Born Citizen Cruz is a lawyer. Neither give a crap about the integrity of the Constitution, as life for lawyers is all about manipulating the judicial process to get their desired outcome. Thus, this is just one more example of how the Constitution is a dead letter, which no longer constrains anyone in government.

I have given up caring. My oath to defend and support the Constitution has finally expired, because it has become little more than a cruel joke. I have given up caring who the oligarchs install as the next POTUS, because the Federal government no longer has any relevance in my life. That said, it won’t be Cruz. There is no possible way he could now get enough delegates to cinch the nomination before the convention, and once he manages to stop Trump from doing so either, the GOPe will be quite finished with him.

Like Trump, if he doesn’t get the nomination on the first ballot, he isn’t getting it. Because, if he somehow did get the nomination, the Democrats would beat him like a drum. His NBC status, mistress scandals, DC Madame prostitution scandal, bizarre Christian beliefs, and extreme social issue positions, would be pounded mercilessly. Combine that with his disagreeable mien, sanctimonious arrogance, and the utter contempt for him expressed by most of his present and former colleagues, and Cruz supporters are backing one highly unelectable character with an appalling charisma deficit. 😉 â—„Daveâ–º

Wow….she is hitting the GOP hard isn’t she? I make it a practice to listen to talk radio almost every day. Mostly Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin and Savage. The current rise of Trump does track their views quite closely. At least as it focuses on the leaders that have sold out Conservative principles as they are defined by these folks. Frankly, I did not realize the extent of the influence they would have on the primary process.

Like you, Dave, I have written off Beck as he has made the turn to Preacher Beck. But the rest are after the GOP elite big time. I don’t think the numbers will work for them and the process seems to me to guarantee a HC victory. Still, we have the chance to watch a very interesting process unfold. As of now, it looks to me that Cruz may pull it off. Mary will be pleased.

It is times like this when I thank the non-existent deity that I am NOT a conservative. The whole lot of them are a bunch of wackos.

You know, it would be funny if there really were a God and It was paying attention to the things proposed in Its name. Then It got really pissed and about it and…

Sorry folks but the mess we are dealing with now is a totally human thing — no God needed other than to take the blame. The jury is still out on our role in global climate change but there can be no doubt of our role in global stupidity.

    • What if there were no such thing as a global collective? Or a national collective? Or a State collective? What if we lived in a laissez faire world, and didn’t have to worry about amorphous collections of stupid humans, interfering in our daily lives? 😉 â—„Daveâ–º

      • Inevitably, some pair of like minded people would realize that they could out-compete individuals if they stuck together. It takes long enough to realize that every person added to the collective reduces how well it fits the needs and desires of its constituents, that by the time it becomes a problem, it’s too late to stop it. The gestalt seems to occur somewhere around the first committee being appointed.

        • Hi, Steel, I have missed you. I have no beef with cooperating groups or even tribal behavior in local situations, as long as they are voluntary associations of peaceful individuals, trading freely without coercion. Even a voluntary commune of Marxists, living at peace with those outside of it, is OK with me. How others choose to live their lives is none of my business, as long as they don’t forcibly interfere with how I choose to live my own.

It is when a potentate or collective of any sort, draws a boundary around a wider geographic territory, and claims dominion over everyone situated within it, that causes the Liberty loving individualist to rebel. Contumacy is the natural state of man, which must be somehow conned, indoctrinated, or beat out of him, to subjugate him to any established ‘authority.’ Witness the attitude toward authority of any normal two-year-old, and the difficult process required to establish dominion over him. Sadly, many never recover from being taught, often brutally, that they have no choice but to respect authority. 🙁 â—„Daveâ–º
