Here is an excellent interview of G. Edward Griffin, the author of “The Creature From Jekyll Island,” which is well worth the time to watch:

He makes several very cogent observations which are worthy of discussion.

As a realist myself, I can't help being pessimistic regarding any hope of saving America; but like Griffin, I can't seem to suppress the inclination to try. Bored with the Left/Right culture war and fed up with the Incumbrepublocrat duopoly, I have been thinking about what needs to be done to reframe the political debate as an Up/Down battle between individualists and collectivists – Liberty vs. Tyranny.

I have concluded that if Romney manages to somehow win Ohio and Florida to oust the Obamunist, we need to immediately form a grass roots third-party movement to end the stranglehold the altruist duopoly has on our political processes. If we leave the altruistic Democrat Party to the Politically Correct Marxists, and the altruistic Republican Party to the Piously Correct Fundamentalists, both of which want government to regulate individual behavior, we could create a coalition of the folks who just want to be left alone, to live their lives unmolested by busybodies, bureaucrats, and jack-booted thugs.

Such a coalition would include Liber-T-Party Patriots, Moderate Republicans, Moderate Democrats, libertarians, objectivists, Constitutionalists, Ron Paul Supporters, and OWS anarchists, et al. Until a better name can be found, I will call it the 'Reset Party,' with the simple platform to return to the Constitutional restraints place on the Federal government by our Founders, and at least as important, a return to sound currency backed by real money, i.e. gold and silver. Simply appending the word 'cartel' every time would go a long way toward decoupling the FED from the government in the minds of the uninformed.

More on my vision of the ‘Reset Party’ later; but I am open for discussion on it now… â—„Daveâ–º
