I wish to highly recommend the book “NULLIFICATION – How To Resist Federal Tyranny In The 21st Century” by Thomas E Woods, Jr.

In this book, Mr. Woods discusses the notion of Nullification which stems from the little-realized fact that the States are the creators, therefore the masters of our Constitution, not its slaves. As such, they retain both the right and the responsibility to nullify any federal law that exceeds the federal authority granted by that Constitution.

Lest any doubt the truth of the preceding statement, I ask you simply to recall that at least 3/4 of the state governments must agree in writing to any alteration of our Constitution for such alteration to become valid. Were the federal government the master, no such agreement would be required.

Nullification is a concept well past due.The Founders knew that the jury box was a critical part of our duty to our republic.Might i suggest the Fully Informed Jury association for more resources?

BTW,what happened to Dave?Is he still around?Miss his opinion on matters of the day.

    • Hi Dan,

I’m back. Thanks for the kind words. I agree regarding the FIJA, which I have been familiar with since the early ’90s. Since I retired and now have the time, I have been anxious to get on a jury and itching to nullify some stupid law or regulation. Ironically, after avoiding the duty for years by simply telling the fools that I am an ex-cop and what I think of lawyers, now that I conceal this information my group never gets called during the annual window when my name is in the hat. â—„Daveâ–º
