It's only nonsense if you believe the paper has worth. What has value is our resources, products, and services. how many zeros worth of currency you earn and spend for an hours work is irrelevant to that. You're right about the savings though. Those people are screwed, but only if they continue in their belief that paper has value. They still have time to put it into something tangible. Currency is not long term wealth, it is only a convenient means of exchange. I'ts only those who think otherwise who will fall.

Who cares what the Dollar is worth?

Those of us living on savings and fixed incomes, who require caffeine grown in Columbia, imported fuel, etc.

The rest of your reply is such utter nonsense that it would give me cognitive dissonance if I thought you actually believed it. Therefore, I must conclude that the entire reply was sarcasm. No? :) ◄Dave►

Who cares what the Dollar is worth? It was designed as a convenient means of exchange, not something people hoarded and loaned as if it itself had value.

The reason the Dollar isn't falling is exactly the one you referenced. The rest of the world is printing money like mad too. since our currency is valued relative to the others, if they all fall, none of them do. We can't unilaterally inflate.
