I agree with what you said about Glenn Beck. He seems to be a true patriot in many ways; then he says something which is completely misleading. He did a great job covering the tea party at The Alamo yesterday, but he aired two segments on why the FEMA camps don't exist when he did not investigation himself to verify his claim. The only evidence he presented was second-hand, from a left-wing reporter for Popular Mechanics!

I have seen a pattern with him of saying something which is true and informing to the public. Then he either contradicts himself or backtracks the next day. Is it just to keep people watching? I'm not sure if he is more fluff than constitutionalist. He has been mentioning the Constitution a lot lately, but then he does something such as what you have documented above about the citizens' militias. He's not doing proper investigative reporting; he's only reporting what someone else thinks about it.

I think Rupert Murdoch is controlling everything on the Fox News Channel. They used to do very good, in-depth reporting, or so I thought. That was when GWB was president. Now that Obama is in, they gloss over lots of important events and information. The only reason the tea parties were covered is that Murdoch knew that the other cable news outlets were doing minimal or no coverage on them and that their ratings would rise if they were there. Otherwise, they would have ignored them the same way they have ignored the eligibility issue.
