postheadericon The 9-12 Project

Glenn Beck took a phone call on his radio program a few weeks ago from a despondent caller lamenting that he felt helpless since the government and media were ignoring everything Americans were doing to try to get their attention regarding our dissatisfaction with the way things were going. Glenn asked him for some time to prove that he is not alone and that we effectively surround them. Friday, he had a television special with that theme and announced the 9-12 Project as a grass-roots effort to reclaim the solidarity we all felt right after 9/11.

There is now a website called The 9-12 Project, where we can all go to discuss our grievances and collaborate with like-minded citizens. The response has been so overwhelming that it has been overloaded and down most of the time since it went live:

We can’t believe the overwhelming response we’ve received to this website. So much so, that our servers couldn’t handle everyone who wanted to come in and take a look around, leave a comment. We are working around the clock to make the site stable enough to be a daily (hourly?) destination for all of you to share in this very special project. Thanks for your patience!

Check it out. Another ad hoc website that spontaneously appeared even before the special, just from the overwhelming response of groups that were gathering to view the special together in their communities, which has promise is We Surround Them USA. It is one of those ning.com social network sites, which looks promising. I have registered on both of them. ◄Dave►
