postheadericon What Fence?

U.S. to miss deadline on Mexico border fence.

WASHINGTON, Oct 23 (Reuters) – The United States will miss its deadline
to complete a security fence along the Mexican border this year,
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said on Thursday.

Is anyone surprised?  So soon we forget what had us fighting mad just a year ago.  Hide and watch to see if it is ever completed, since neither candidate for President wants it impeding their Mexican voters’ travel plans. ◄Dave►

postheadericon Be Prepared

While the long term implications might be relief, in the short term it would be wise to be prepared for the chance that this trend continues:

McCain has cut into Obama’s lead for a second day and is now just 1.1 points behind. The spread was 3.7 Wednesday and 6.0 Tuesday. The Republican is making headway with middle- and working- class voters, and has surged 10 points in two days among those earning between $30,000 and $75,000. He has also gone from an 11-point deficit to a 9-point lead among Catholics.

…An analysis of Final Certified Results for the 2004 election showed IBD’s polling partner, TIPP, was the most accurate pollster of the campaign season…

If McCain pulls this off, I wouldn’t want to get caught near a ghetto or college campus anytime soon thereafter:

Sen. Obama (Ill.), the Democratic nominee for president, has seen his lead over rival Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) grow in recent weeks, prompting speculation that there could be a violent backlash if he loses unexpectedly.

Cities that have suffered unrest before, such as Detroit, Chicago, Oakland and Philadelphia, will have extra police deployed.

In Oakland, the police will deploy extra units trained in riot control, as well as extra traffic police, and even put SWAT teams on standby.

One telling remark by Hilary Shelton, the director of the NAACP’s Washington bureau:

“What are local election officials doing to prepare for what people think will be record turnout at the polls?” said Shelton, who added that during the 2004 election in Ohio voters in predominantly black communities had to wait in line six to eight hours to vote.

“On Election Day, if this continues, you may have some tempers flare; we should be prepared to deal with that but do it without intimidation,” said Shelton, who added that police have to be able to maintain order at polling stations without scaring voters, especially immigrants from “police states.”

Excuse me, but since immigrants couldn’t possibly be qualified to vote until they have lived here for at least five years and learned our civics lessons, shouldn’t they be over being intimidated by the sight of an American policeman by then?

Of course, I know better.  I have personal acquaintances who are recent legal immigrants, with legal green card (non-citizen) residency status, who received their sample ballots and polling place assignments in the mail after getting their driver’s license, through no conscious or deliberate act of their own.  It is called “Motor Voter.” ◄Dave►

postheadericon Freedom Fighters?

Because a couple of the names of the “freedom fighters,” mentioned in Diuguid’s racist piece below, had also appeared in something I read recently regarding writings that influenced Obama as a student (including Malcolm X), I took the trouble to look them up. Diuguid lamely implies that they were unfairly labeled “Socialists” by J. Edgar Hoover as a code word meaning “civil rights activists.”  Really?

From the Wikipedia, regarding W.E.B. Du Bois:

Du Bois was one of a number of African-American leaders investigated by the FBI, which claimed in May 1942 that “his writing indicates him to be a socialist,” and that he “has been called a Communist and at the same time criticized by the Communist Party.”[35]

Du Bois visited Communist China during the Great Leap Forward. Also, in the March 16, 1953 issue of The National Guardian, Du Bois wrote “Joseph Stalin was a great man; few other men of the 20th century approach his stature.”[36]

Du Bois was chairman of the Peace Information Center at the start of the Korean War. He was among the signers of the Stockholm Peace Pledge, which opposed the use of nuclear weapons. In 1950, at the age of 82, he ran for the U.S. Senate on the American Labor Party ticket in New York and received 4 percent of the vote. Although he lost, Du Bois remained committed to the progressive labor cause. Du Bois was questioned before HUAC about his alleged communist sympathies. In 1958, he joined Trotskyists, ex-Communists and independent radicals in proposing the creation of a united left-wing coalition to challenge for seats in elections for the New York state senate and assembly.

He was indicted in the United States under the Foreign Agents Registration Act and acquitted for lack of evidence. In 1959, Du Bois received the Lenin Peace Prize. In 1961, at the age of 93, he joined the Communist Party USA, at a time past its peak of appeal to most people on the Left.

Then, he mentioned Paul Robeson:

Through his writings and speeches, Robeson went on to defend the foreign and domestic policies of the Soviet Union and Joseph Stalin. During the Soviet purges, Robeson allegedly told a Daily Worker reporter that “from what I have already seen of the workings of the Soviet Government, I can only say that anybody who lifts his hand against it ought to be shot!”[18] After the formation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Robeson proclaimed during a speech at the Paris World Peace Congress in 1949 that “It is unthinkable that American Negroes will go to war on behalf of those who have oppressed us for generations… against a country [the Soviet Union] which in one generation has raised our people to the full dignity of mankind.” Sugar Ray Robinson responded to this by saying that although he did not know Robeson he would “punch him in the mouth” if he met him.[19] Even while many former left wing supporters of the Soviet Union learned of the atrocities being committed there and began publicly denouncing their former affiliations, Robeson held firm.

During his lifetime, Robeson always denied that he was a Communist Party member. But after his death, at the occasion of his 100th birthday in 1988, the American Communist Party issued a pamphlet “Paul Robeson: An American Communist,” by CP chairman Gus Hall, in which the Party acknowledged that Robeson had been a secret member. Hall wrote: “My own most precious moments with Paul were when I met with him to accept his dues and renew his yearly membership in the CPUSA.”

In 1952, Robeson was awarded the Stalin Peace Prize. In April, 1953 shortly after Joseph Stalin’s death he wrote a eulogy entitled To You Beloved Comrade,[21] in which he praised Stalin’s “deep humanity,” “wise understanding,” and dedication to peaceful co-existence with all the peoples of the world calling him “wise and good”.

There is plenty more regarding his being in the FBI’s sights, including his taking the “Fifth” in congressional testimony when asked if he was a member of the Communist Party; but the above alone would justify their keeping an eye on him in the climate of the time.

Wikipedia has no reference to the FBI regarding A. Philip Randolph; but there are a couple of lines that would make it surprising if they were not keeping an eye on him:

At the age of 21, Randolph joined the Socialist party of Eugene V. Debs. In response to increasing segregation and discrimination against blacks, Randolph shunned moderate reform and racial integration, as advocated by W. E. B. Du Bois, and emphasized instead socialism and trade unionism.

In 1917, Randolph founded and co-edited the Messenger, a radical monthly magazine, which campaigned against lynching, opposed U.S. participation in World War I, urged African Americans to resist being drafted to fight for a segregated society, and recommended that they join radical unions.

Thanks to hapless Diuguid, I am learning more about his Savior, and none of it comforting.  My only question is: Why don’t we have a FBI chief bold enough to warn Americans about Obama’s background? ◄Dave►

postheadericon Black Racists

I am getting sick of all the Black racists frantically stirring the electoral pot to stifle legitimate debate. I refuse do White Guilt. Political correctness, and fear of being labeled a racist, is about to tear this nation asunder. Call me anything you like; it is past time for Patriots to take the damned PC gloves off and fight back.

In the Kansas City Star this morning, a pitiful little man named Lewis Diuguid, penned an over-the-top piece entitled, “Shame on McCain and Palin for using an old code word for black.”:

The “socialist” label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots.

J. Edgar Hoover, director of the FBI from 1924 to 1972, used the term liberally to describe African Americans who spent their lives fighting for equality.

Those freedom fighters included the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who led the Civil Rights Movement; W.E.B. Du Bois, who in 1909 helped found the NAACP which is still the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization; Paul Robeson, a famous singer, actor and political activist who in the 1930s became involved in national and international movements for better labor relations, peace and racial justice; and A. Philip Randolph, who founded and was the longtime head of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters and a leading advocate for civil rights for African Americans.

McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.

Shame on McCain and Palin.

No, shame on you, you pathetic racist jerk.

One of the comments by outraged readers (most of which admonished him to look up the definition of “Socialism,” and notice that our concern over Obama’s Marxist ideology has nothing to do with his race), was this nugget entitled “Common Cause.”:

“Without journalists of color helping to change the racially stagnant culture in newsrooms and to tell the stories about the Real America, the stereotypes grow and so do the problems that result.”

- Lewis Diuguid, “Discovering the Real America”, p. 148

“The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses.”
- Vladimir Lenin

I noticed the author of the first quote was the self-same author of the above patently racist tripe. Somehow, I suspect that his vision of “the Real America” is a bit different than mine. Curious, I followed the “Who’s Who?” link to the Star’s Editorial Board.  Sure enough, they have a nice picture of their resident racist:

…with his bio and contact info:

Lewis W. Diuguid is vice president for community resources at The Star. He joined the paper in May 1977 after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism. He has been a reporter, a photographer and has held several editing jobs. He has written a column for the newspaper since 1987. He serves on the Editorial Board, writes a column and administers the paper’s philanthropic efforts. He is the author of A Teacher’s Cry: Expose the Truth About Education Today and Discovering the Real America: Toward a More Perfect Union. To reach him, call 816-234-4723 or send e-mail to lduiguid@kcstar.com.

Maybe the Obamessiah will appoint him his press secretary. I’ll be sure to e-mail him a link to this, so he can appreciate how renowned he is becoming… even in flyover country.  ◄Dave►

postheadericon Comedy Relief

I’ll be glad when this election is over. I am wasting far too much time delving into the mysteries of the Obamessiah’s past, and trying to figure out what he is deliberately hiding from us, and why. Perhaps that is the nature of messiahs – they just spring forth after a rumored storied birth by a deflowered virgin, into a fully grown forty-year-old man, with almost no history of what mischief they might have been up to in-between. You just gotta believe… and have faith… and your life will be changed

The more I find out, the more I become convinced that his first book was much fantasy in Obamaland, and ghost-written by Wm. Ayers, of all people. Oh well, I suppose it will all come out after his election. He will eventually piss off the MSM, as Biden has predicted, and some intrepid reporters will finally get around to doing their jobs.  The sheeple will be shocked, and everyone will wonder how he got away with it for so long.

I had not seen the square-off between the candidates at the Alfred E. Smith dinner last week until now. I appreciated the relief from the madness. John McCain in particular was hilarious. He actually had Obama laughing out loud, and Hillary in stitches. If you missed it, it is worth the time for the chuckles:

John McCain Brings Down The House – Al Smith Dinner Part 1

John McCain Brings Down The House – Al Smith Dinner Part 2

Barack Obama had some good lines; yet his lack of experience showed here too:

Barack Obama at ALFRED E. SMITH DINNER

I couldn’t find the rest of his remarks, but this caught the comedy part.  It did remind me of an e-mailed picture I received a while back:

What me Worry?

What me Worry?

It must be time for a nap…  ◄Dave►

postheadericon Hope & Change?

What happened to the message of hope and change? Let’s connect some dots. Six weeks ago, the Bush administration started giving Obama and Biden security briefings:

Barack Obama, who has not been “vetted” by the FBI for the position of president of the United States, received his “first high level briefing” on Tuesday from the office of the Director of National Intelligence, CNN has reported. “Obama was given the briefing at the FBI field office in Chicago,” the cable channel said, from a “team of intelligence experts.” But why should Obama, with a documented history of contacts with communists and terrorists, be trusted with this information?

What procedures are in place to make sure that Obama and/or his aides do not disclose any of this information to foreign or hostile interests? Will somebody in the media stop digging into Sarah Palin’s family life long enough to look into this?

Because of his 30-year association with people who hate the United States, including communist Frank Marshall Davis., anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright, and communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, it is highly doubtful that Obama could get a security clearance in the U.S. government he wants to lead.

But rather than raise this issue, the major media want to investigate Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter and her husband’s driving record.

The implications of that article are troubling enough; but now that they have seen the intelligence that keeps George Bush from playing to popularity polls and doing the politically expedient, it seems to have put a damper on the Obama/Biden theme of “Hope and Change.” To hear Loose-Lips-Biden tell it now, there is no hope of the most inexperienced candidate ever to get this close to becoming President, who promises to change the whole world with the power of his persuasion, to avoid instead being severely tested by hostile forces. Presumably, they are unimpressed with his preference for casual diplomacy and soaring rhetoric. In fact, he admonishes Americans to “Gird Your Loins,” and prepare for a Herculean task:

ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Really, Senator? What do you know that you shouldn’t be telling us? Perhaps well-connected strategic thinker, Ralph Peters, has a clue:

IF Sen. Barack Obama is elected president, our republic will survive, but our international strategy and some of our allies may not. His first year in office would conjure globe-spanning challenges as our enemies piled on to exploit his weakness.

Add in Sen. Joe Biden – with his track record of calling every major foreign-policy crisis wrong for 35 years – as vice president and de facto secretary of State, and we’d face a formula for strategic disaster.

He certainly has your number, Senator; and his list is daunting:

Where would the avalanche of confrontations come from?

* Al Qaeda. Pandering to his extreme base, Obama has projected an image of being soft on terror…

* Pakistan. As this nuclear-armed country of 170 million anti-American Muslims grows more fragile by the day…

* Iran. Got nukes? If the Iranians are as far along with their nuclear program as some reports insist…

* Israel. In the Middle East, Obama’s election would be read as the end of staunch US support for Israel…

* Saudi Arabia. Post-9/11 attention to poisonous Saudi proselytizing forced the kingdom to be more discreet in fomenting terrorism and religious hatred abroad…

* Russia. Got Ukraine? Not for long…

* Georgia. Our Georgian allies should dust off their Russian dictionaries.

* Venezuela. Hugo Chavez will intensify the rape of his country’s hemorrhaging democracy…

* Bolivia. Chavez client President Evo Morales could order his military to seize control of his country’s dissident eastern provinces…

* North Korea. North Korea will expect a much more generous deal…

* NATO. The brave young democracies of Central and Eastern Europe will be gravely discouraged…

* The Kurds. An Obama administration will abandon our only true allies between Tel Aviv and Tokyo.

* Democracy activists. Around the world, regressive regimes will intensify their suppression…

* Women’s rights. If you can’t vote in US elections, sister, you’re screwed…

* Journalists. American journalists who’ve done everything they can to elect Barack Obama can watch as regimes around the world imprison, torture and murder their foreign colleagues…

Go read them; they are sobering and render his conclusion inescapable:

Sen. John McCain’s campaign has allowed a great man to be maligned as a mere successor to George W. Bush. The truth is that an Obama administration would be a second Carter presidency – only far worse.

Think Bush weakened America? Just wait.

Indeed. Carter II? <shudder> More from Biden’s remarkable stump speech:

“This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”

“There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”

Hope and change? He sees unwelcome change inevitably coming down the pike that has nothing to do with the milk and honey they have been peddling, and he hopes the vox populi will stick with him:

“We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes,” he cautioned. “It’s so much more important than that. It’s so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it.”

Oh, that will play well in the international press, the caves of Pakistan, and the cabinet rooms of tyrants, petty and grand. “Speak vociferously and wield a small stick.” Obama should whack yours, Senator; but it remains to be seen if he is astute enough to find you embarrassing yet. And the cosmopolitan intelligentsia regards Sarah Palin a national embarrassment…

After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.

“I probably shouldn’t have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here,” he joked.

You think?

I seriously doubt it; but he asks us to:

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”

OK, Senator, that is what we are doing here – thinking aloud. I’m unclear as to what he is trying to impart. I get that the next year is not going to be quite Obamadice yet, and it will all be George Bush’s fault. That was predictable to the least intuitive; but he is warning us that they are going to have to do things that will drive their poll numbers into the tank. The big question is who are they going to piss off?

After the calculated effort by the Progressive wing of the Incumbrepublocrat Party to beat George Bush to a pulp over the decision to open the Iraq Theater of WWIV, and do everything in their power to separate it from the larger war for political advantage, the resurgence of patriotism, and any semblance of united national will, has evaporated in partisan distrust. We are again a deeply divided nation, and if anything more distrustful than ever of fellow citizens we just can’t relate to. Actions have consequences and this one was easily predictable, for it was their very purpose.

Roughly half of us are cosmopolitan Progressives, and Utopian dreamers, once again imbued with an anti-war, peace at any cost, we deserve to be hated, but desperately want to be loved, mindset. The other half are flyover country Traditionalists, still in love with the American Dream instilled by our founders, and are not only willing, but insist that we fight all challengers to preserve it. In this climate, it is rather axiomatic that any military adventures we engage in are going to automatically alienate a third of the population and resonate with another third.

The fickle third in the center can be swayed either way, with emotion or reason; but we are an impatient lot and our support for foreign adventures is easily lost over incompetence or at the slightest hint that we aren’t in it to win. Indeed, this is one of the biggest lies perpetrated by the Left over Vietnam or Iraq. The American people as a whole are never anti-war; but they get disgusted with one in a hurry when it appears that we are not even trying to win it.

Obama and Biden reckon that they are about to take the reins of a powerful government; but what is a government if not an aggregation of force, with the ability to impose its will. On the international stage, which is the only place the executive branch of our government has any effective power, and where their performance really matters or is judged by history, our military might is worthless if we refuse to use it. Of course, some tin horn tyrant in the real world will test the mettle of the peacemaking Obamessiah. How could it be otherwise.

Surely, in the rough and tumble of Chicago politics, Obama noticed the function and necessity of “Muscle” to keep the rabble reliably “organized.” He should have thought of that before he effectively sold out to the anti-war crowd on his way to the top. Now what will he do if Russia decides it is time to re-annex Ukraine, or China decides the time is right to retake Taiwan, or Iran decides to close the Straights of Hormuz, or…?

Such acts of war could happen overnight, before he even had a chance to bring his vaunted powers of persuasion to bear on the tyrants who have already calculated that he will not, or as Biden thinks – cannot, do anything to stop their righteous (to their minds anyway) cause. Biden is already convinced that whatever decision they make will be the right one; but is predicting that a significant percentage of us won’t understand that, and he will lose his mandate to govern us through sinking poll numbers.

On the last point, he is absolutely correct, and I predict the fawning press will turn on him just as fast as they turned on their favorite maverick when Hillary started running, and turned on her when The One they were waiting for appeared on the scene. George Bush could have the last laugh; but I suspect he will be weeping for his country with the rest of us, as we enter our death spiral. On that, I disagree with both Biden and Peters. I don’t see our Republic surviving… at least not with any semblance of still being the home of the brave and land of the free. That will already history to my mind, the moment the sheeple elect their new toothless messiah. ◄Dave►

postheadericon API Update

Their promised update is up:

The legal hurdles that API feared in connection with the release of
the tape has now been settled. The American people has soon to be
treated to the truth about the true personality of their (probably)
incoming first Lady.

API is soon to conclude an agreement on which of the media channels
in the US is to air the Michelle Obama tapes. This has come about
because many news channels have shown great interest in getting the
tapes so that they air to the American people before the elections.

Many Americans are waiting and we promise to satisfy their desire
very soon. The delay in releasing the tapes is due to two things: …

I sure hope that if this is real, they don’t blow it with an exclusivity agreement with the wrong media outlet.  I scored comment # 8 and 27 to their post. ◄Dave►

postheadericon More Obama Eligibility Lawsuits

The fourth one was filed Friday in Hawaii itself:

STATEMENT OF CLAIM

1. Plaintiff requested a certified copy of the birth certificate of Senator Obama from the Department of Health and tendered the requisite fee.

2. Defendants refused to provide a copy of said certificate, invoking the confidentiality statutes of the State.

3. The issue of the Senator’s birth certificate has become a controversial topic of intense national speculation.

4. As an author who strives for factual accuracy and attempts to conduct thorough research Plaintiff wants a copy of the Senator’s birth certificate attested to by the State and not a “certificate” which is posted on a web site and which has been debunked as possibly having been altered.

5. One of the more literate and temperate analyses of the unlawfulness of the Defendants’ refusal to issue certified copies of the birth certificate is contained in Exhibit 1 attached hereto.

6. To the extent that the Defendants’ files contain or retain original supporting data for the birth certificate, Plaintiff asks that he also be supplied with that information and/or material as well.

7. It is axiomatic that the birth certificate of a presidential candidate is a document of crucial public concern and significance.

8. While Hawai’i statutes call for a balancing or weighing test where production is considered by a court, most respectfully Plaintiff submits that the balance falls entirely on the side of disclosure where the original birth certificate of a presidential candidate is concerned.

Also, the API promises to update their story today:

We would like to inform all our readers that update on Michelle Obama story will be released tomorrow.

We have understood the importance that the American people put into electing the right candidate for the Presidency.

It is important that the tapes be released and all can judge for themselves what Mrs Obama meant and why it has come at the near-end of electioneering. The fact that the mainstream American media has been reluctant to reveal what they know about Obama is very unfortunate.

The American mainstream media seems to be interested in excitement and we all know that the only excitement at present is for some to say they witnessed history of some kind – the election of a black man to govern the only powerful nation in the world.

All the readers should exercise patience. We in API promise that you will get to know the truth when the recordings are finally released.

I don’t quite get the Rope-a-Dope strategy of the Obama camp.  Yes, the MSM is ignoring this story and most sheeple probably will not hear of it before election day; but that won’t make it go away.  These are Democrats pushing this story, still angry Hillary supporters, not Republicans.  If it can eventually be proven that he is Constitutionally disqualified to be POTUS, does he really believe that Pelosi can keep enough of her House members from voting for his Impeachment?  Would Reid stand up and try to win the trial for him?  Can you say President Biden?

Imagine the effect of a McCain ad with him somberly looking into the camera, “My friends, it has come to our attention that there are serious doubts among Democrats… now four different lawsuits… We need to get back to settling elections with legitimate ballots, not the courts.  So please ask Senator Obama to simply produce his birth certificate, like I did, before the election to avert a Constitutional crisis afterward.” ◄Dave►

postheadericon Record Vs. Rhetoric

Thomas Sowell exercises his talent for clear thinking and crisp writing in his latest piece entitled Record Versus Rhetoric:

Apparently there is something about Sarah Palin that causes some
people to think of her as either the best of candidates or the worst of
candidates. She draws enthusiastic crowds and provokes visceral
hostility in the media.

The issue that is raised most often is her relative lack of
experience and the fact that she would be “a heartbeat away from the
presidency” if Senator John McCain were elected. But Barack Obama has
even less experience– none in an executive capacity– and his would
itself be the heartbeat of the presidency if he were elected.

Sarah Palin’s record is on the record, while whole years of
Barack Obama’s life are engulfed in fog, and he has had to explain away
one after another of the astounding and vile people he has not merely
“associated” with but has had political alliances with, and to whom he
has directed the taxpayers’ money and other money.

Sarah Palin has had executive experience– and the White House
is the executive branch of government. We don’t have to judge her by
her rhetoric because she has a record.

We don’t know what Barack Obama will actually do because he
has actually done very little for which he was personally accountable.
Even as a state legislator, he voted “present” innumerable times
instead of taking a stand one way or the other on tough issues.

“Clean up the mess in Washington”? He was part of the mess in Chicago and lined up with the Daley machine against reformers.

Read the whole thing. Black America could sure use a few more thinkers like Sowell, and a few less Community Agitators… or Saul Alinsky prefered to call them, Community Organizers.  ◄Dave►

postheadericon October Surprise II

Well, this is certainly intriguing and one one level, to me, rather amusing.  I have lived in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and know Kenya well from frequent trips there when I lived in the Seychelles Islands, and took a keen interest in the study of their culture and politics.  I have read many books about the place, from Robert Ruark’s classic “The Honey Badger” to Joy Adamson’s “Born Free.”

As a white man who got along well with proud African natives, by showing an interest in their culture and making an effort to learn their languages, one thing that has always tickled me is how incredibly bigoted they all were, and how utterly unimpressed (and often downright hostile) they were with condescending Black Americans who visited their countries.  One has not experienced rank bigotry, until one has seen tribalism in action.  In Africa, it matters not what one’s skin color is – everybody is black – the important question is, what tribe do you belong to?

For most, the answer to that question is the first cut on social status; and for many, the wrong answer places one outside the realm of humanity, regardless of wealth or power held in the Western world.  The reaction to some famous visiting Black American entertainers and politicians has been akin to, “Who do you think you are addressing, you sub-human piece of elephant dung?  Back off: I refuse to be defiled by allowing your filthy shadow to fall on me!  Here, I will show my utter contempt for your low-life parentage by spitting on it, you rodent.”  Needless to say, some American rock stars have found this reception by their beloved “African Brothers” rather disconcerting.

Keep this in mind as you read Michelle Obama’s remarks to the African Press International (API):

Accusing API of colluding with American internet bloggers in an
effort to bring down her husband, Mrs Obama said she decided to call
API because of what she termed, API’s help to spread rumours
created by American bloggers and other racist media outlets in
their efforts to damage a black man’s name, saying she hopes
African Media was mature enough to be in the front to give unwavering
support to her husband, a man Africans should identify themselves
with.

When API told her that our online news media was only relaying what
the American Bloggers and other media outlets had discovered through
their investigations, Mrs Obama was angered and she came out loud with
the following: “African press International is supposed to
support Africans and African-American view,” and she went to
state that, “it is strange that API has chosen to support the
racists against my husband. There is no shame in being adopted by a
step father. All dirt has been thrown onto my husband’s face and
yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law
that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some
American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husband’s
adoption by His step father. The important thing here is where my
husband’s heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people
that My husband loves this country and his adoption never changed
his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives
him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted
by a foreigner; says Michelle Obama on telefon to API.”

This is a very interesting turn of events. The American man Dr Corsi
was recently reported to have been arrested in Kenya because there was
fear that he might reveal information on Obama when he wanted to hold a
press conference in Nairobi.

The question now is why he was arrested and who ordered his arrest.
Was Obama’s hand in this in any way? We will never know the truth
but what is clear is that Dr Corsi was seen as a threat while in Kenya.

When API asked Mrs Obama to comment on why Dr Corsi was arrested by
the Kenyan government and whether she thought Kenya’s Prime
Minister Mr Raila Odinga was involved in Dr Corsi’s arrest, she
got irritated and and simply told API not to dig that which will
support evil people who are out to stop her husband from getting the
presidency.

When asked who she was referring to as the evil people, she stated
that she was not going to elaborate much on that but that many
conservative white people and even some African Americans were against
her husband, but that this group of blacks were simply doing so
because of envy.

On Farakhan and his ministry, Mrs Obama told API that it was
unfortunate that Mr Farakhan came out the way he did supporting her
husband openly before the elections was over. That was not wholehearted
support but one that was calculated to convince the American people
that my husband will support the growth of muslim faith if he became
the president, adding “even if my husband was able to prove that
he is not a Muslim, he will not be believed by those who have come out
strongly to destroy his chances of being the next President. Do real
people expect someone to deny a religion when 80 percent of his
relatives are Muslims?; Mrs Obama asked.

Mrs Obama asked API to write a good story about her husband and that
will earn API an invitation to the innoguration ceremony when, as she
put it , her husband will be installed as the next President of the
United States of America next year.

If this story is true, and I suspect it is, Michelle just blew her husband’s candidacy out of the water.  Fair or not, admitting that (even though no fault of his own) he was once a citizen of Indonesia, categorically disqualifies him for the office he seeks.  He is now either a naturalized citizen or an illegal alien, and it is incumbent on him to prove otherwise.

I have dug deep enough to know that this website and the API are not a hoax.  They claim to have a recording of the conversation, which they now intend to publish as soon as their lawyers cover their bases:

API has recordings of the conversation between API and Mrs Obama …,
and we confirm that the audio will be released to the public. In the
last 24 hours, API has been consulting legal advisers on the way
forward in order to avoid being sued by the Obama camp. API has
realised that the contents of the tapes if made public may change the
political atmosphere in America for ever, especially in the next few
days.

Due to enormous reactions received, API now understands the impact
of the statements made by Mrs Obama. The American people have reacted
in a way we in API would never have expected.

Many have question why Mrs Obama would choose a little known online
media group instead of the American media. API was chosen because of a
Nairobi contact that did not like the way API was covering Barack Obama
using information collected from American media outlets. The Nairobi
contact prevailed upon Mrs Obama to talk to API.

The only thing API may have done wrong is not informing Mrs Obama
that the conversation was being recorded. This is why it is taking time
to release the recording while consulting a legal team because API
wants to be legally safe from any Obama camp law suit.

Obama naively insinuated himself in Kenya’s bloody election last year, on the side of his Muslim relative, Raila Odinga, who lost.  Perhaps those chickens are coming home to roost (to borrow a phrase from his erstwhile spiritual adviser).  He never really had a chance to win legitimately anyway, the winner, Mwai Kibaki, is a Kikuyu, the largest tribe in Kenya.  In any case, I could have told Michelle not to expect the solidarity from the African press that they have come to count on from American blacks and the sycophant MSM, who refuse to do even a cursory background check on this guy, and will bury any negative story they can get away with.  E.g. don’t hold your breath waiting for this one to air on the nightly news… until they absolutely must report the fallout if that audio is released.  Then the story will totally eclipse the financial news. ◄Dave►
