The traditional role for a VP candidate is to be the attack dog.  McCain chose a bulldog in lipstick; but for some reason kept her on a short leash for a month.  I don’t think they fully appreciated her innate talents and thought she needed training first.  Just in time for the VP debate, they unleashed her.  According to an AP article, now she has donned her heels and gone to work:

Palin, Alaska’s governor, said that donors on a greeting line had encouraged her and McCain to get tougher on Obama. She said an aide then advised her, “Sarah, the gloves are off, the heels are on, go get to them.”

It is about time for Obama’s past to catch up to him, and she seems to relish the task:

Palin told a group of donors at a private airport, “Our opponent … is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he’s palling around with
terrorists who would target their own country.” She also said, “This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America.”

With only a month to go, I hope it is not too late. â—„Daveâ–º
